Like always, my decision was not agreed upon.I had told my mother that I really don't want to come to the journey which was planned for today. However, I had to wake up exceptionally early at six in the morning.I got ready and then sat, and as a matter of course, sat doing nothing. Then, almost suddenly, the driver appeared right in front of the door-subsequently, I went with him to pick up my grandmother. She was at my aunt's house and ready for the journey.I came back home and after a few minutes, I was leaving it for another long jaunt-I candidly do not find any of the so-called jaunts pleasing. They are so stressful and I become excessively fatigued. This one though, was not all that bad! We first travelled. Then,we travelled. And then, we travelled again. That travelling subdued half my day.Oh! I forgot to mention the destination! So, forsooth, I was going to the mahadeshvara hills. It was my third time there and to all intents and purposes, the most debilitating. It is a series of seven hills! And to reach the apex, where the temple rests, one need to endure 27 turns which are part of the nauseating, long road. When we reached the top, I really couldn't believe that I hadn't prayed to the porcelain god.The temple was just colossal, magnificent, substantial (and every other appreciative adjective you can think of!) but the people there, were of the least integrity.I couldn't digest the fact that people could turn into such obstreperous creatures.I respect that they have come to worship god-maybe even from another state or even country, but they should have limits to things. For example, the area where the taps were situated was filthy to its highest levels-and one person spit into the stagnant water below the tap.At least, the government can do a job by placing a board saying"No spitting.(Spitters?) will be fined." in various languages. There are many more repugnant thing I can write, but I always appreciate something more than I abominate it.The temple's entrance was sealed off and everyone had to enter through a very qued-up Que.We only got a glimpse of the god Mahadeshavara (or madappa). There were security guards aggressively pushing us and shouting at us to move.Do they not understand the simple word peace? They really should pay a visit to the Himalayas and spend time meditating.I am not aggressive but, I have always wished to go alone to the Himalayas, specifically K2,and stay there for a month.I am certain to do that one in the next ten years. So, the temple was good but the people weren't, but since the temple was good, the place is good. The government can surely work on improving it! After summiting the hill (or rather, "hills"), we travelled to my kaveripura, to where my grandmother is autochthonous to.We stayed at my great-grandmother's house. We stayed there for a mere half an hour and then went to another nearby village,Paranavipura, where another of my grandfather lives. The house is substantial, none a bungalow can compete with it.It, being a village house, has a colossally deep well inside the house! There is also a cow stable, behind, inside and beside the house. After all, they are farmers! Subsequently, we picked up a few flowers and fruits from the garden and then, we came back home.To all intents and purposes, today wasn't as bad as I expected!
