A parting note to my box

Today, after 4 long years of companionship, my box has had to leave me.Fine, I'll quit the sentimentality ; I'll explain a few things first: by my box, I mean my pencil box which is actually a geometry box with a few modifications.I bought it when I was 10 and kept it till today.I started using it as a pencil box towards the end of eight grade. In ninth grade, I used it almost every day and took it everywhere I went, except the sports ground.
After the ninth grade exams, I made time during the break to add a few modifications.Namely, a something to hold three pens and a pencil in place, a spring to avoid uninvited guests from opening the box, a loudspeaker which unfortunately failed to work , and a very bad paint job using fabric paints. It was just great. But as time passed, (a few days) something , I felt, was wrong. The box didn't give me the same feeling as before, if you understand, and which you plausibly don't.So four days ago, I broke everything and started removing the paint. It was a tedious job, using sand paper and a huge screwdriver.Today, I was almost done when something rather unfortunate happened; My thumb got cut deep and it bled a little an  this happened when I was sanding a sharp edge of the box.So, as is necessary, I was  to get a tetanus shot.Just sad.
I went to the clinic and after half an hour's wait, got the shot. For some unexplainable reason, it didn't hurt one bit.Thankfully.Then, I came back home and knew just what was going to happen.I was going to have to get rid of that rusty old box.And that did happen. My mom and aunt told me to throw it away, for good reason, it was quite old- it would be bad if I got scratched or cut yet again.Nothing lasts forever, not even my good old box. But, of course I didn't throw it, just left it beside the bin.
My box has gone through many an experiences and reactions.Yes, reactions.Chemical reactions.Apart from the natural formation of rust, other  compounds have formed on it.How? It was a chemistry class during the afternoon.I remember vividly the scene. Our teacher brought a few aqueous solutions, cupric oxide etc.She passed them on so that we could scrutinize each one.But Suhit, my comrade, wasn't satisfied with just seeing it.He wanted  to touch it, and so did he.Nothing happened, it was safe.Obviously,my turn to touch it now.I touched and nothing happened so I poured a bit of every solution on my box, and so did he on his pouch. Now both of us were satisfied :)
It has also been victim to mine and Suhit's non-sensical written phrases. After all this, you might consider me inhuman to write this much for just a box, well, that's me; ain't doing nothing about it.
That's pretty much the parting note.Adieu.
