Analysis of ninth grade

Now that I'm in the tenth grade, I find it compulsive to write a "summary" of ninth grade.Without pretence, I deem that ninth grade hasn't been one of the best years of my life.I started almost a year ago, a confident Adithya ready to face the studies which were supposed to be hard.It went smooth at first and then the homeworks and assignments started coming in.I usually missed the due dates and sometimes failed to finish my homework.I also found that I was particularly god at economics, which I had previously feared since I had done quite bad at it, always. However, I was surprised to find it as easy as cycling.Learn the basics and you're ready to go and master at the subject. This year, my second-language was French, for the first time. The reading and writing parts, I continued doing well but the listening part still haunts me.Mathematics has remained to be easy and I've learned quite a few new concepts, many actually.I also enjoyed Biology which was vast and discrete. My biology teacher, who has now been teaching me for three years has the ability to make the most hard topics seem fairly obvious and thus, making it easier to learn. Her teaching ability surprises me and she is so knowledgeable about the subject, I only wished I was that knowledgeable, then I'd have no problem in any exam :) Chemistry is one subject I was clueless about this year.I had always done very well in Chemistry till ninth and all of a sudden, all these complicated topics are being taught and I had no idea whatsoever the connection between one topic to another.Hopefully, it will be more comprehensible this year. One subject that did disappoint me was Physics. We learned the same things we did two years ago, not one new concept! I had a good teacher but the syllabus was not what I expected it to be; not even close. Thus, I have come to the conclusion to study Physics on my own using two advanced textbooks I have. That's pretty much about the academics. In terms of the co-curricular activities, I went to an interschool sports competition in which I was the soccer team's captain.I went to three science fairs and got first place in the first one and the other two just disappointed me.Apart from that I haven't done anything else.
I also developed the habit of sleeping late for some reason. It isn't recommended but I find it nice to stay awake till late night.I now sleep for a mere six hours a day and it feels great; this may not be beneficiary for my health but at least for the next few years, this will go on, i guess...With that, I've started reading books again, many books, mostly fiction. When I did get bored, I went downstairs to cycle or I just continued studying. I've always found it pleasurable to cycle since it removes thought temporarily and my observation of what surround me increases.
This obviously isn't everything but I probably will write later about anything interesting I come to remember. So adieu, Russel!
